NEW COUNTRY

Our week was busy normal with few exceptions.
The veteran outreach went ok. A new wrinkle
was that Pastor Tom took his test for certificaion
as a counselor up in Rio Rancho. Moving along I,ve
began preperations to begin Computer classes and such.
That,s the other side of the equation in preperation
for VETERAN ADVOCATE AND THE COURTS PRACTIONER.
Yes the lull before the storm. This is going to prove interesting.

vets legal program

I have news for the veteran whose hope is to find help after
a series of requests to the VA to handle their case.
Payment being the numero uno on their mind.
It,s called legal support from a non profit agency.

The goal here is to inform the vets of this option.
To make available this and other services to assist
the vet in his/her onslaught to overcome a system
that seems less concerned than it ought to.

This info is for all who seek and are tired of promises
not met. So should you find yourself on a early Saturday
morning thinking this way. As BOB BARKER WOULD SAY,
COME ON DOWN. That is to the train park. I,ll be there to
answer the call, and hopefully give you help in your quest.

NEW BEGINNINGS

The vet contacts that I have been receiving as of most recent
has great potential for use. As to date we have 4 (four) new locations in
which a veteran can access in other states. These locations are a word of mouth
kind of info and will be checked out before there offered. So begins our
VET UNDERGROUND RAILROAD SOURCE. The hope is that these and others like this
will assist and expedite services to the veteran in need. Should other vets
here of locations throughout the U.S. please let me know. Either in person
or E/mail-beaucouk@gmail.com All info. will be considered confidential.

VSO

VSO,S are a main strategy upon which a veteran can use in dealing with
the process involved in filing for benefits with the VA.

These veteran advocates are trained in the systems and inner workings
of multiple organizations and so can assist in numerous ways. Wading thru the paperwork
and obtaining positive results is a norm for this elk. Shortening the time to achieve a response
to financial stability and service connected physical needs, a VSO (veteran service officer)
makes the work much more fluid. The time however cannot be measured as to each individual
case being different as well as in kind policies of each agency having different patterns and time
restrains. All in all the use of this service may prove to be just what the doctor ordered.
So as a veteran I urge anyone seeking to apply for compensation from state or federal sources
to consider this option. It will be time well spent, and maybe a greater return for the effort

VETS HOME

As we have seen at the train park the many vets that are homeless or near homeless
our desire to arrest this condition becomes more intense. There are at any given point in time a large contingent of veterans on the streets of Albuquerque. The
figures being adjusted, depending on whom you talk to are somewhere in the area of
about 1200. Currently anywhere between 40 and 65 can expect support and service
without some form of conditional program system or personal regimentation. Knowing
the need for these programs for those that have alcohol and/or drug abuse problems
is a good thing. And is necessary to that cause as stated. However the remaining
veterans who don,t have these challenges seem to be left out in the cold. It is our desire to seek and assist in this endeavor to address this need. Our hope is that
a beginner location in some form might obtained rehabbed and used for this purpose.
How we obtain a location is yet up for grabs. The choices are either a donated property or an abandoned one. Surly other vets and their families can see the need
to support this action. It is our HOPE that you can too. May our veterans find safe
haven from the streets. Boo Yada.
